The story of homeless zoey and hockey player Ryan. Ryan meets Zoe in a coffee shop when he is failing to do his accounts. She helps him and he ends up hiring her to do his book keeping.

She leans over, offering to help him. They end up parting ways due to Zoey rushing off. Ryan follows her, realizing she's homeless and has nowhere to stay due to the shelter being closed for the night. Ryan invites Zoey to spend the night with him. Before she leaves, he gives her his card and tells her to call him if she needs anything.
Bianca the PA was too evil. She just wasn’t believable and I felt that Ryan should have worked out her game earlier on. I feel the author could have been far more subtle with her character.
Customer Reviews
I absolutely loved Ryan and Zoey. OK so this one was even better than the first one. But I think that's in part because I went in super excited to keep reading this series and I knew what to expect from the authors writing style. But then again it could have been because of Ryan and Zoe.
The proper hot bits don’t really get going until 90%. I didn’t quite get the feels with this. I always felt Zoey was too vulnerable and it was all sweet, virginal innocence until the last chapters where it ramps up into mild erotica. Thankfully Home Game features a dual Pov, I loved reading whatever was going through Ryan’s mind.
Continue the series
The book still would have been angsty and heart-rending without that somewhat contrived separation towards the end of the book. When I say this book gave slow burn, I mean it gave SLOW BURN!!!!! But let me tell you, when I finally got that bacon, it was scrumptious. I loved the IKEA references. This was a 3.5 star read for me till I got to the epilogue, which was a disappointment, as it seemed to be just a setup for the next book, about Mica. Oddly, it was followed by a 'bonus' chapter or second epilogue, which I just plain disliked, because it was almost like reading porn.
I also feel like I don’t know their personalities that well. Maybe, it was just because I did not care but the only personality traits, I felt like they had was Ryan being a hockey player while Zoey was homeless. Under some dire circumstances, Ryan decides to help out Zoey and suggests she move in with him. I loved the Canadian setting of this book! That said, I might go back and read it, since I enjoyed this one quite a bit.
Her painful life, her innocence and her vulnerability mixed with her strong character, her smartness and her good heart make Zoey a very likable character. Honestly, it was a pleasant surprise to find that nearly all my problems in the first book were IMMENSELY IMPROVED in this installment. I love her writing style; it’s so captivating and it just flows so well! While the story has many serious themes in it, there were many well placed injections of humor too.
Her writing goal is to keep her readers up late at night, because they keep saying, "Just one more chapter, I'm just going to read one more chapter." I skim the last chapters of this ebook. I stop reading after awhile.
I am thoroughly enjoying the fact that the storylines are so different. No rushed inner monologues 'waxing poetic' of insta-love or lusty fantasies. Then when feelings & attraction start coming into play, a solid amount of it stems from emotional affection & respect. The writing of the book is really good. That's why, I am planning to read the other books in the series. The heroine in this book is so sweet and so lovable that I wanted to find her in real life and give her many many hugs and kisses.
Ryan and Zoey was the cutest couple.I loved the dynamics between the two of of them. Still he kisses her before he sends her home and I didn't like it. In conclusion, I did not like this book at all. I don’t think I will continue on with this series. I just don’t think Odette is a writer for me.
Their IKEA dates and movie nights GAVE ME DIABETES. SO SO CUTE. Their slow-burn romance and them constantly denying their attraction to each other gave me life. They’re definitely a couple you know will be happy long after their book has been written! I rarely ever cry happy tears, but this book managed to make me BAWL for these two cuties. I wanted Zoey to trust me and come forward and share what was bothering her. We’d come a long way since our first days, but there was still a part of her she shielded and held back from me. And I wanted to know her, all of her. Which made little sense because typically, the inner workings of the female mind had never been my concern.
